From the USAV Officials Development Team:
We are thinking of you all during these trying times and hope you are staying safe and healthy. As many of you have heard, the 2020 USAV Open National Championships have been postponed. 18GJNC, BJNC, GJNC, and HPCs are still scheduled to take place. We will update you immediately once final decisions are made regarding these championship events.
Below is some great information from the USA Volleyball Human Resources Department that was put together specifically for officials. Please do your research and take advantage of the resources presented here:

On March 27, 2020, the President of the United States signed a law that temporarily expands Unemployment Insurance (“UI”) assistance to workers impacted by COVID-19. This new law provides the following programs:
• Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) – Extended eligibility for individuals who have traditionally been ineligible for UI benefits (e.g., self-employed workers, independent contractors to include athletes);
• Pandemic Unemployment Compensation – An additional $600 per week, on top of regular benefits, to all UI recipients from March 27 - July 31, 2020; and,
• Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation – An additional 13 weeks of UI benefits, beyond the regular 26 weeks already provided, for a total of 39 weeks (approximately 10 months of coverage).
Please be advised that many states are still in the process of setting up infrastructure to accept PUA applications. While this may take a week or more, eligible benefits are retroactive to January 27, 2020. Comprehensive information can be found in the document labeled “Pandemic Unemployment Assistance FAQ” on the USAV Forms and Information page under “Club, Athlete and Official Assistance”: Unemployment Assistance FAQ.

Additionally, below is some important information from NASO (National Association of Sports Officials) on Independent Contractor Unemployment Resources, State by State:
4-15-2020 - State by state, the impact of the recent CARES Act will affect sports officials differently. It is our ultimate goal to provide you with detailed information from every state on how they are implementing the Act and what it means for you.
To this end, NASO has worked over the past few weeks to research, understand and collect the information specific to the situation sports officials find themselves during this crisis.
The link below provides specific information by state, as best we know it today. Many states have not yet defined how they will implement the CARES Act. You’ll see that some states are not listed yet as those resources aren’t available yet. Rest assured we will continue our efforts until we can inform every official about their state's plan.
